Smile Isle is owned and run by two orthodontists, Dr. Marina Kosturos and Dr. Rick Escobar. Both are Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, and both finished their orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado. Between them, they have cared for over 100,000 patients across private practice, residency and now Smile Isle.

Dr. Marina Kosturos, DDS, MSD

Dr. Marina earned her DDS from the University of the Pacific in the top 5% of her class and is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. She is highly trained in how the jaws and face grow in children and adolescents, which matters most for kids starting Phase I treatment or expansion.

Dr. Rick Escobar, DMD, MSD

Dr. Rick grew up in Tampa, graduated from Jesuit High School and earned his DMD from Nova Southeastern University in the top 5% of his class. He returned home to Tampa after more than a decade away and cares most about long-term relationships with patients and their families.
